    Professional Activity:

    Dr. Svetozar Krstić began his career in 1984 at AGRODUNAV Karavukovo as company secretary. In 1986, he became deputy director of Internal Bank PPK Odžaci, and in 1988, he became its director. During his work, he involved the Internal Bank in the activities of the Yugoslav Banking Association.

    From 1990 to 1992, he served as Assistant General Director at SIMPO for economic affairs. During this time, he was engaged in preparing the privatization of SIMPO and its organizational transformation into SIMPO Holding. From 1992 to 1994, he was the founder and director of the private company KRIKO d.d.

    From 1994 to 1998, he served as Vice President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Chairman of the Government's Committee for Economy and Finance. Between 2001 and 2004, he was appointed Director of the Republic Employment Bureau (RZTR). During his term, he initiated and implemented reforms in the functioning of RZTR, focusing on active employment measures, which helped many unemployed individuals during the early 2000s economic crisis. The Business Journalists' Club named him the best public sector director for his reforms.

    From 2004 to 2008, he was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SIMPO, Director of SI-MARKET until 2006, and Director of Foreign Trade. He played a key role in increasing SIMPO's exports and establishing cooperation with IKEA and other international companies in the field of interior design.

    From 2008 to 2017, he worked at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, initially as Secretary of the Hospitality and Tourism Association (2008–2010), then as Secretary of the Industry Association (2010–2014), and as Executive Director of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce (2014–2017).

    He has gained significant professional experience working in various economic and social sectors, the Serbian Government, state institutions, and business associations. His work focused on organizing, coordinating, and managing processes in public finances and the labor market reform in Serbia.

    Dr. Krstić has been a member of several scientific committees and has participated in numerous international scientific and professional conferences. He has authored or co-authored numerous scientific and professional papers in the fields of management, tourism, and economics. His interest is also focused on the concept of lifelong learning.

    In 2015 and 2016, at the invitation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, he attended one-month seminars organized by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) on topics such as Free Zones in China (2015) and Accelerating International Trade along the Belt and Road (2016).

    He passed the bar exam in 1987, passed the expert exam for insurance agents and brokers in 2007, and in 2018, he passed the professional exam for employment specialists at the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Veterans Affairs.

    From 1994 to 2005, he served as President of the Yugoslav Athletic Federation, contributing to the stabilization of financing and improving the conditions for athlete training.

    He is characterized by rich professional and managerial experience, involvement in the community, a strong network in international affairs and organizations, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
