    Professor Slobodan Unković , PhD, Emeritus

    He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1961, completed his master's degree in 1963, and his doctorate in 1966. His further studies included specialization at Stanford University in the USA, as well as at universities in the United Kingdom and Italy. He was appointed as a full professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1980.

    Professor Emeritus. A former Serbian politician and diplomat, full professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, Rector of the University of Belgrade, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.

    He was the president of the Expert Council of the Federal Committee for Tourism, an expert for the World Tourism Organization, a member of the World Organization of Tourism Experts, executive bodies of specialized international professional associations, as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Universities, the Presidency of the European Rectors' Conference, and representative of Yugoslavia in the Council of Europe.

    Professor Unković is mentioned in the world-renowned publication "Who’s Who in the World." He received the highest recognition from the United Nations World Tourism Organization for his contribution to the development of tourism worldwide. He holds several domestic and foreign honors: honorary professor at Lomonosov University in Moscow, Renmin University in Beijing, as well as honorary doctorates from Lincoln University in the USA and the University of Mediterranean in Podgorica.

    He was the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 1991, as well as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Science and Technology. He also served as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to Beijing.
