On January 15th and 16th, 2025, the first Winter School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Wellness was held at the premises of the Academy of Hospitality, Tourism, and Wellness, located at Tošin Bunar 179đ, New Belgrade.

This free two-day school brought together high school students from various parts of Serbia, offering them the opportunity to explore the fascinating fields of tourism, hospitality, and wellness through a series of interactive workshops and lectures. The program was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in an inspiring environment for learning and networking.

What Makes the Winter School Special?

Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to attend various themed workshops and lectures, including:

• Be the Creator of Unforgettable Journeys – Participants learned how to design travel packages and create offers.


• Behind the Scenes of a Successful Event – Professional event organization.


• Professional Communication Skills – Writing business emails.


• How to Become a Leader in Hospitality? – Key leadership traits, the differences between leaders and managers, types of power and its impact on teams, with an emphasis on how leaders use power for the benefit of their teams and how to avoid misuse of power.


• The Secrets of Creating Wellness Experiences in Hotels – Insights into the most successful SPA & wellness center in Serbia and what constitutes a perfect wellness experience.


• Training on Hotel Reservation Systems – Participants gained valuable knowledge on modern hotel reservation systems through practical tasks and training with the latest software, in collaboration with @ota.sync and @otasync.serbia.

Why Did the Winter School Attract Attention?

In addition to helping students enhance their knowledge and build new friendships, this initiative also provided an insight into academic life, preparing them for future challenges in their studies and careers.

A particularly valuable aspect of the program is that all participants received certificates of participation in the Winter School, as well as certificates for successfully completing the hotel reservation system training, giving them a competitive edge in further education and professional development.
