Prof. Dr. Danijel Pavlović, Director of the Academy of Hospitality, Tourism, and Wellness, appeared as a guest on the television program “Novo jutro”, where he spoke about Serbia’s tourism potential, key direction for the development of tourism as an important economic sector, and the significance of education in preparing qualified professionals.

During the interview, he emphasized that tourism is no longer viewed solely as a means of leisure and recreation, but as a serious economic sector that requires knowledge, organization, and clearly defined competencies. Professor Pavlović pointed out that the development of tourism as an economic branch is not possible without skilled and educated personnel, who understand the modern demands of the market and are able to apply knowledge in management, marketing, planning, and sustainable development.

He particularly stressed that successful tourism development requires an integrated and long-term strategy, in which education plays a central role—because it is education that shapes future professionals capable of meeting the challenges of this dynamic field.

“Our mission is to educate generations who will be the driving force behind the development of tourism in Serbia. Without educated people, there is no sustainable tourism,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Pavlović.
