In observance of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia – Sretenje, Saturday, February 15, and Sunday, February 16, 2025, will be non-working days at the Academy of Hospitality, Tourism, and Wellness.

According to the Law on National and Other Holidays in the Republic of Serbia, since February 16 falls on a Sunday this year, Monday, February 17, 2025, will also be a non-working day.

Classes, exams, and consultations will not be held during these days, and the Student Services Office will be closed. Regular activities will resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Statehood Day is celebrated in remembrance of February 15, 1804, when the First Serbian Uprising was initiated under the leadership of Karađorđe, marking the beginning of the struggle for liberation from Ottoman rule. Additionally, on this date in 1835, the Sretenje Constitution was adopted, one of the most advanced constitutions of its time, laying the foundations of modern Serbian statehood.
